Portfolio : Hooter / Budget Collection

Hooter and Budget Collection were both management interfaces to a "SUN Accounts" system, written for Glaxo-SmithKline.

Both systems were rolled out to all budget managers worldwide as a Desktop application and connected to local Oracle databases, which then interfaced to the global SUN accountancy system.

Hooter (Head Office Online Transaction Reporting) allowed budget managers to drill down into their expenditure by Budget Centre / Account, down to individual transaction - even allowing them a direct view of invoices. They could also create reports based on user defined criteria.

The budget collection system allowed budget managers to apply for the following years budget on current accounts, or request new accounts. Head office could then use the system to initially verify or request justification from managers.
