open Document Imaging Archive System

openDIAS (Document Imaging Archive System) provides document imaging with OCR. You can scan documents (with SANE) or import ODF documents, and then assign tags. It can store all your letters, bills, statements, etc. in a convenient, safe, and easily retrievable way.

The openDIAS project is a new OpenSource offering to bring professional document scanning and storage utility to the home user.

This project is rapidly taking shape and will be fully developed and maintained for the foreseeable future.

July 1 2008 - openDias has released its latest version. openDias-0.3.2 contains many new features and fixes from the previous 0.2.6 release, including: Image zooming/cleanup; UI cleanup; bug fixes including lots of memory leaks; and many other internal improvements to smooth future development, building and the user responsiveness.
